POWER NAP FOR RICKSHAW PULLERS – KOLKATA

₹3,000.00 – ₹30,000.00

Rickshaw pullers in Kolkata are a valuable part of the city’s transportation system and work long hours in the heat and humidity. To help them stay healthy and energized, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has started a “Power Nap” program, which provides a safe and comfortable place for rickshaw pullers to take a brief rest during the day. The program provides designated rest spots in various parts of the city, such as parks and public spaces, where rickshaw pullers can take a quick nap. The spots are equipped with benches, umbrellas, and other amenities to make the resting experience comfortable. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has also hired attendants at these spots who can help rickshaw pullers with any problems and ensure their safety. The program was introduced in 2019 and has been a great success, with thousands of rickshaw pullers taking advantage of the opportunity to rest and recuperate during the day.
