HOWRAH STATION WITH LINE- UP OF TAXIS – KOLKATA

Kolkata’s ubiquitous yellow taxis , making their canary yellow statement all over the city , roomy , sturdy ,readily available  to b hailed , and the first fleet of vehicles to greet you as you land at the Netaji International Airport of the Howrah Station . The only city in the country after Mumbai with metered taxis , the Ambassador classic cabs have been a mainstay of Kolkata’s life since they first rolled onto the streets in 1958 . The unique thing is their indigenous production , manufactured at the Hindustan Motors factory in Uttarpara on the outskirts of the city until 2014.
